The Myosomatic Institute was created to help people develop a more curious, compassionate relationship with the body.
Our approach combines somatic awareness, nervous system education, fascia-informed principles, and practical tools for understanding and responding to the sensations we experience.
Rather than asking, “How do I make this feeling go away?” we begin with a different question:
“What is my body communicating?”
Through education, experiential practices, and professional training, we teach people how to meet the body with calm, compassionate curiosity.
The Myosomatic Method is built around four interconnected pillars:
Learn to notice sensations, patterns, tension, movement, and internal experiences without immediately trying to change them.
Explore practical ways to support the nervous system and create greater capacity for comfort, connection, and choice.
Use the brain's capacity for learning and neuroplasticity to explore new responses to familiar sensations, triggers, and patterns.
Bring what you learn into everyday movement, relationships, self-care, and the way you interact with your body.
Myosomatics explores the body not only through the nervous system, but through the physical tissues that help us sense, move, adapt, and interact with our environment.
Fascia is a continuous sensory-rich connective tissue network throughout the body. Understanding its relationship with movement, sensation, guarding, and the nervous system gives us another lens through which to understand embodied experience.
This fascia-informed perspective is one of the foundations of the Myosomatic approach.
Explore your nervous system, body awareness, patterns, triggers, and the four pillars of the Myosomatic Method through education and guided experiential practices.
